Martin Kreidl is a social demographer affiliated with the Department of Sociology and the Office for Population Studies at Masaryk University. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2005. His research focuses on social inequality and demography in a comparative perspective. He is especially interested in issues related to intergenerational status inheritance, intra-generational labor market mobility, family formation and dissolution, household composition, and patterns of inter-generational exchange.
