Menghan Zhao
Menghan Zhao obtained her PhD in Demography from the University of Pennsylvania and is an Assistant Professor of Demography, Center for Population and Development Studies at Renmin University of China. Her research explores how gender intersects with family and population processes, such as childbearing behavior and divisions of labor, to shape individual well-being and societal inequality. Her current research is situated in the contexts of contemporary East Asia, particularly mainland China. Her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Population Research and Policy Review, Chinese Sociological Review, and Work, Employment and Society and also Chinese peer-reviewed journals including Population Research, Population & Economics, and Population Journal.
