I am social demographer (PhD, Universitat Pompeu Fabra), currently appointed at the Institute for Social Science Research and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course in the University of Queensland. I have substantive expertise in several fields of demographic research –including partnership, fertility, and internal migration– and social inequality research –including housing tenure, labour market participation, and union membership. My research adopts a longitudinal and life course approach, and uses state-of-the-art quantitative methods, including panel data regression, multilevel and multiprocess event history analysis, and sequence analysis. Most of my recent empirical research involves cross-national comparisons.
