Ariane Pailhé

Ariane Pailhé, PHD in Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, is senior researcher at the French National Demographic Institute (Ined) in Paris, France. Her main research fields are family-work interactions and gender inequalities, time allocation between spouses, gender and ethnic discrimination on the labour market, and entry into adulthood of immigrants and their descendants. She designed and coordinated the French national representative survey on “Families and Employers” (2004-2005). Her research has been published in numerous journals such as Labour economics, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Longitudinal and Life Course Research, Feminist economics, Population, Demographic Research, Annals of economics and statistics, Review of Economics of the Household or European Journal of Population. She is a member of the editorial board of the journal Population.
