Richard G. Rogers

Rick Rogers is Professor of Sociology and Faculty Associate of the Population and Health and Society Programs in the Institute of Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado. His main research interests focus on social demography and medical sociology. He has published over 100 articles and chapters on social, economic, demographic, and behavioral differences in health and survival. For example, with Eileen Crimmins (University of Southern California), he coedited the International Handbook of Adult Mortality, which provides an in-depth examination of trends and patterns in adult mortality around the world. His recent NICHD-funded project with Bob Hummer (University of North Carolina) examined differences in early life mortality. Overall, his research endeavors to better understand ways to improve health and lengthen life.
