These files replicate the analyses for the manuscript listed above are found in this folder.

I do not have the right to distribute data from the 2009 Haiti Youth Survey. It was collected and is owned by FAFO (Oslo, Sweden).

The files included were written originally in STATA 11 and have been reproduced in STATA 14

In the introduction to each file the new user must specify a path where a folder named 'Haitian Youth Survey' is stored.

The current folder contains three files that are code and prepare data:
	'Creates data for figures.do'
	'Creates variables from household roster.do'
	'Data preparation Tables 1, 2, & 3.do'

Additionally, six files replicate the figures and tables found in the text:
	'Replicates Figure 1 Motives by Age and Gender.do'
	'Replicates Figure 2 survivor estimates.do'
	'Replicates Table 1 Desriptives.do'
	'Replicates Table 2 Event History.do'
	'Replicates Table 3 Event History.do'
	'Replicates Tables 4, 5, & 6 Heckman.do'

Each replication .do file will first execute one of these data processing .do files at the start.
These data files will be saved in the folder 'Haitian Youth Survey'.

Because I cannot personally distribute the data, complete output is pasted at the conclusion of each replication file.
