There are two files. 1) A data file in STATA format includes all the data necessary for producing the results presented in the paper. The data file is in STATA version 14 format and may need to be converted to be read by earlier versions of STATA. This data file includes only those variables needed for the analysis presented in the paper and for supplementary analysis discussed in the paper. The data file includes therefore a subset of the variables available in the Cebu Longitudinal Health and Nutrition Study (CLHNS). According to CLNHS guidelines, all identifying information linking unique observations are not included. Some of the variable names may have been changed from the original datafile. The original datafile can be obtained through application to the CLNHS. For further information on applying for access and downloading the original data go to: http://www.cpc.unc.edu/projects/cebu 2) The 'wealth score' variable contained in the dataset is constructed from the original data. The consituents of the variable are not made available due to CLHNS guidelines. However, the variable can be re-constructed from the original variables in the baseline data, which is available through the clnhs website listed above. Construction uses the technique described in Filmer, Prichett (2001) with the following variables from the baseline data: aparador benches botlbrus claypots claystov diningst elecfans feedbotl flatiron gasrange glasware kerostov measspon metalpot ownbeds ownbicyl owniron ownradio ownteve recorder refriger salaset silvrwar sterilel tables thermos 3) A .do file includes all of the data manipulations (recodes etc.) and procedures necessary for producing the results in the paper. The .do file is annotated explaining various manipulations and procedures. Annotation shows specifically where in the .do file a procedure is run to replicate tables and graphs in the paper. The .do file contains a number of supplementary runs as well. For instance, a large number of Group-Based Trajectory Models (GBTMs) were run in order to find the best one that is presented in the paper. All of these are included in the .do file. 4) In order for the full .do file to run it is necessary to download the STATA traj plugin. To install the plugin, run the following commands in STATA: net from http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/bjones/traj net install traj, force These commands are placed in the .do file as comments. Remove comments to load the plugin. REFERENCES Filmer, D., & Pritchett, L. (2001).
