This readme.txt gives an overview of the replicability files contained in the replicability folder pertaining to the Demographic Research article: "Adolescence in flux: Unmasking thirty years of change in subnational parity-specific adolescent fertility in Mexico" by Ann Garbett, Sarah Neal, Angela Luna Hernandez and Nikos Tzavidis. The items contained in the replicability folder include the following: 1. 'MXmuni_full_census copy.Rmd' contains article text and R code for the analysis, figures and tables. 2. 'muni_estimates_tables_full_census copy.R' includes R code for the tables included in Annex B 3. 'data' folder includes all csv files downloaded from interactive full census tables available at https://www.inegi.org.mx/programas/ccpv/2020/ and more specifically at : https://www.inegi.org.mx/sistemas/olap/proyectos/bd/censos/cpv2010/pf12mas.asp?s=est&c=27874&proy=cpv10_pf12mas The census tables in the data folder are saved unchanged from the format in which they were downloaded as csv files. The naming convention of the files identify the source (INEGI), census year (_xxxx), and population group by number of births (females with 0, 1, 2, etc. births, NA is those with missing births, or total population of females). These census tables are free and open to the public for download and use without restrictions. Refer to the .Rmd file to see how the data files were uploaded and used in the analysis. All analysis and writing was done in R version 4.2.2 (2022-10-31)
