This is the reproducible material for the paper "Life Expectancy in China and the Contribution from Regional Dynamics". 

The program will run well on R 4.4.3 and R studio 2026.01.1+403.
The folder data contains all the adjusted data needed for the analysis. 
The folder reports is to store the final figures. At the moment it is empty. 

Please run the first script "1_e0&ci.R". This will give you the results of table 1. 
Then please run the second script "2_e0&compare.R". This will give you the results of Figure 1.
Running the script "3_sub-decomp.R" will give you Figures 2 to 4. 
You just need to open the script with R studio or other R IDE, select all and run the code.
