Moradhvaj Dhakad

Dr Moradhvaj Dhakad is a demographer. He currently serves as a Scientist and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR), Rostock, Germany. He is also a guest researcher at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Austria. His research focuses on understanding socioeconomic and educational differences in mortality, and on estimating mortality from survey data in low- and middle-income countries. Before joining MPIDR, he served as a research scientist at the Vienna Institute of Demography of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and as a research scholar at IIASA. He also completed a postdoc at the University of Vienna.
