Anna Tegunimataka

Anna Tegunimataka is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economic History at Lund University. Her research focuses on economic demography with particular attention to migration and integration. She studies how life course events for individuals with an immigrant background such as changes in citizenship relate to labor market outcomes income development and processes of integration. Her work also includes research on intermarriage between immigrants and natives educational outcomes among children with migrant backgrounds the role of mother tongue instruction and the social and demographic consequences of family formation and reformation. In addition to contemporary studies she conducts historical demographic research using long term data to analyze mobility family structures and patterns of integration over time.
