Nicole Kapelle
Nicole Kapelle is a quantitative sociologist and social demographer at Trinity College Dublin, where she works as Assistant Professor of Quantitative Sociology of Inequality and Life Course in the Department of Sociology. She is also an affiliated Research Fellow at Humboldt-Universität (HU) zu Berlin and at Nuffield College, the University of Oxford. She obtained her PhD in Sociology, Demography, and Statistics from the University of Queensland, Australia.
Using predominantly household panel survey data and longitudinal data analysis methods, her research focuses on the causes and consequences of social inequalities over and between life courses of individuals. Her research captures a spectrum of topics including family dynamics, wealth inequalities, economic disparities within couples, and health outcomes.
Her work has been published in journals such as European Sociological Review, Journal of Marriage and Family, European Journal of Population, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, The Journals of Gerontology, Series B, European Societies, and International Journal of Social Research Methodology.
