Anna Martinez Mendiola

Anna Martinez Mendiola is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) where she is currently working on the FERLOST project on late and low fertility. She holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences (2023) from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and a BA in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Her research focuses on gender inequalities in unpaid work, leisure, fertility, and life-course dynamics, with an emphasis on cross-national and socioeconomic factors.

Previously, she held postdoctoral positions at Pompeu Fabra University and the Centre for Demographic Studies (CED), contributing to the ERC-funded CORESIDENCE project. Her work has been presented at international conferences and published in leading demographic journals as Demographic Research and the journal of Family Relations.
