Abrar Bawati is a Research Associate in the Department of Sociology at KU Leuven’s Faculty of Social Sciences. Her research examines how parental socioeconomic and migration backgrounds shape intergenerational poverty and inequality, and how maternal socioeconomic status and daughters’ firm sorting patterns affect earnings persistence.
