Orsola Torrisi
Orsola Torrisi is a Social Demographer and an Assistant Professor of Social Demography at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She studies the consequences of exposure to armed violence on family formation, family relationships, and sexual and reproductive health, as well as the mortality burden of conflict. Her work also focuses on measurement challenges, vital registration, and on developing methods to assess demographic outcomes in data-scarce settings. Torrisi holds a PhD in Demography/Population Studies from the London School of Economics
