Susanne Mayer is an Associate Professor of Health Economics at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, where she works at the Department of Health Economics within the Center for Public Health. Her research focuses on health inequalities, access to healthcare, healthcare utilization, healthcare costs and the economic consequences of disease. She is experienced in applied empirical research, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Her work aims to generate evidence to inform health policy and improve equity and efficiency in healthcare systems.
