Kao-Lee Liaw
Kao-Lee Liaw is a Professor Emeritus of McMaster University, Canada. His research mainly involves the use of the micro data of population censuses and nationally-representative large-scale surveys (e.g. American Community Surveys) to reveal salient features and interconnections of socioeconomic and demographic aspects of societies. His research also emphasizes the importance of historical, cultural, political, and international contexts in achieving better understandings of the key findings of data analysis. The main tools of his research are multivariate statistical models. The substantive areas of his research span internal migration, international migration, mortality, fertility, climatology, and health science.
