Yu Chen
Yu Chen received her MA degree in Finance in 2006 from Zhejiang University, China, and her PhD in Economics in 2013 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her dissertation was entitled “The effects of financial crises on
the current account balance.” She has also done research in the area of economic demography, including a paper on the role of religion in women’s labor market behavior, forthcoming as a chapter in a book to be published by Cambridge University Press. In the summer of 2013 she began work as a risk analyst at Discover Financial Services in Chicago, Illinois.
