Suzana Koelet holds a PhD in Sociology (Vrije Universiteit Brussel 2005) and works on topics related to inequality, gender, and migration. Her previous research has focused on a broad range of research themes, such as time use and the division of household labour in the family, divorce in Turkish and Moroccan migrant families, educational trajectories and the transition from school to work of Turkish and Moroccan women, and European social integration and intra-European couple formation. During her PhD and short time after, Suzana Koelet worked at the TOR research group at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. After this, she worked for two years at the Policy Centre for Equal Opportunities at the University of Antwerp (2007–2009). Currently she works as a senior researcher at Interface Demography of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
