Julieta Pérez Amador
Julieta Perez-Amador specializes in family demography and demography of inequality. She is currently Assistant Professor at the Center for Demographic, Urban and Environmental Studies at El Colegio de Mexico. Previously she was a Demography Trainee in the Center for Demography and Ecology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she earned her PhD in Sociology. She also worked at the National Statistics Office of Mexico (INEGI) and at the Luxembourg Income Study (LIS). Her research interests focus on nuptiality, living arrangements, and the transition to adulthood; she is especially interested in the relationship between sociodemographic family behaviors and inequality and in the intergenerational transmission of demographic behavior.
