Juho Härkönen

Juho Härkönen is professor of sociology at the European University Institute (EUI) while on leave from Stockholm University. He studied sociology at the University of Turku and received his PhD from the EUI in 2007. After a postdoc at Yale University, he joined Stockholm University in 2009 and the EUI in 2018. His research interests focus on the formation of social inequalities over the life course, family demography, and health. His research has been published in Addiction, Advances in Life Course Research, Demographic Research, Demography, European Sociological Review, European Journal of Population, Journal of Marriage and Family, Social Forces, Social Science and Medicine, and other outlets. He is coeditor of Advances in Life Course Research.
