Special Collection 21

Separation, Divorce, Repartnering, and Remarriage around the World

Published 19 October 2017

This Special Collection of Demographic Research – edited by Benoît Laplante and Andrew Cherlin – brings together ten papers that, in earlier versions, were presented at the International Seminar on Union Breakdown and Repartnering around the World, in Montreal, Canada, in 2015. The special collection provides a broad international overview of trends in union dissolution and repartnering. It reveals the great diversity of patterns of union dissolution and repartnering not only among regions of the world but also within regions.
