Dmitriy Gorskiy
Dmitriy Gorskiy is completing a PhD in Quantitative Methods in Economics at the Higher School of Economics. His research focuses on modelling fertility behaviour in Russia during the periods of shocks between 2000 and 2023. These events include the escalation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022, the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2014 Russian financial crisis, and the launch of federal and regional Maternity Capital programs in 2007 and 2011–2012. Dmitriy holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Paris School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Higher School of Economics. He is also the publisher of the Russian media outlet VLESAH dedicated to cultural heritage in the non-capital regions of Russia. In addition, Dmitriy teaches mathematics and econometrics to students of all ages.
