Thomas Horvath

Thomas Horvath is a Senior Economist at WIFO and has been working in the research group "Labour Economics, Income and Social Security" since 2010. He received his PhD in 2015 in the field of microeconometric labour market analysis. His research interests include changes in labour demand and supply, the evaluation of active labour market policies, and migration. A major focus of his work is the analysis of longer-term socio-economic developments using dynamic microsimulation – for example, the longer-term impact of demographic change on labour markets and welfare states. He is also a national expert in the Skillsnet network of Cedefop.
