I am a researcher at the Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA) studying the fertility of migrants and the determinants of integration. In my previous research I focused on fertility patterns of foreign women for different migrant groups in Italy based on administrative data. I also studied related aspects, such as the differences in the provision of antenatal care between native and foreign women and the role of antenatal care and citizenship in perinatal outcomes. My studies also questioned the effectiveness of some Italian policies for foreign women. Now, my research focuses on family, integration, and the life course of immigrants both in Sweden and in Italy.
